Ben Ficklin Cemetery (Historic)

Directions:
This cemetery is on a hill, visible from the road. It is on the service road of HWy 87 where it intersects Loop 306 in SW San Angelo.   (GPS  31 24.300' N   100 26.328' W)
 
Historic Cemetery with marker:
This cemetery replaced the original cemetery from the nearby settlement of Ben Ficklin. The settlement was washed away by a flood on August 24, 1882. The cemetery was also flooded, exposing many graves. The graves were removed to this site.
