  • Genealogy Cornucopia: A Fall Festival of Genealogy Research – A free virtual event on Friday, October 21, the Genealogy Cornucopia features eight presentations on DNA, deciphering handwriting, tax records, genealogy tech, basic genealogy concepts, citing sources, the Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center, and migration patterns. Don't miss this outstanding event!
     
  • Lunch & More – Pack your lunch and join us for a brown-bag genealogy presentation in the 3rd floor Community Room at the Stephens Central Library in downtown San Angelo. Lunch is followed by an afternoon workshop.

  • Hands-On Workshops – Following Lunch & More, participate in a workshop honing your genealogy skills and learning new ones. Bring your laptop or practice on the library's computers. Access the library's genealogy databases and the FamilySearch Affiliate Library website for free!

  • Beginning Genealogy Classes – Led by Lisa Mahler, learn the basics or hone your skills with Lisa as she leads attendees through websites, organization, and more in this free class held in the 2nd floor computer lab at the Stephens Central Library.
    • Saturdays: September 24, November 19, January 28, and May 20
    • Time: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
       
  • Research Afternoons at the WTC – Join us at the West Texas Collection to research your family history with the help of SAGHS volunteers. You can gain experience by looking up requests made by out-of-area SAGHS members for resources at the WTC's genealogy library. Spend an afternoon with us sharing your passion for genealogy sleuthing!
    • Saturdays: October 8, December 3, February 11, and April 15
